Wax jewelry pieces are first made from a rubber mold and connected to a sprue system.
They are placed inside a flask and surrounded with a special investment material.
The flask is then heated in a kiln so the wax melts away, leaving an empty space in the exact shape of the jewelry.
Molten silver or brass is poured into this space and allowed to cool.
After casting, the investment is removed and the jewelry pieces are cut from the sprues before moving on to filing, polishing, and other finishing processes.
